Bridesmaid dress, the front runner

My sister and I went to Victoria's Boutique in the West Loop, really cute shop with tons of gorgeous wedding gowns and a good selection of Bridesmaids gowns. And, I think we finally found one, well it's our top pic so far....in dark Plum of course, NO IDEA what color the bow should be. Definitely check out Victoria's, she even designs her own jewelry, http://www.boutiquevictoria.com/

The dress is by Alvina Valenta, who was one of my favorite original wedding designers!

Windows and Walls

I'm on a search for window treatments for Jon's new apartment, looking for something with color but obviously not too feminine. I like vintage prints lately, Urban Outfitters have a great selection of vintage print curtains (do people still call them curtains?).

I am also on a hunt for wall decor for my bedroom at my parents' house. The walls are avocado green, wooden blinds and gold bedding, again, I still want to go with a vintage/retro look. I had it painted a dark magenta, with gold accents, looked very boudoir-ish, but my family hated it.

Urban also offers this fun well decal, not sure how I feel about decals, but some are very neat.

Bucerias Mexico

I just got back from vacation with Jon and my friend Joey and a few others. We stayed at a friend's house in the small beach town of Bucerias, about 30 minutes north of Puerto Vallarta. Amazing town, great restuarants, galleries, chill beach and amazing town. We were fortunate to be there during the town's annual festival, which consisted of a celebration nightly that lasted until 4am. The band played until 4, and fireworks were non-stop. I would like to buy a home in Bucerias one day and invite all my friends to partake in beautiful Mexican fun times.

Bridesmaid dresses

Purple is still the front runner for Bridesmaid dresses, dark plum or eggplant, but I'm seeing some nice burgandys and berrys....I also love English netting, empire waist, and velvet sashes and ribbons.

Wedding Website

The knot offers a very simple and straightforward website to post all your updates on your wedding, I did it mostly so Jon will remember details, like, when, where, who....best part about it is the countdown!

Wedding scheme

I love peacock feathers and I'm learning about the symbolism of the peacock and its gorgeous feathers and feel it will carry over well to my wedding day, both symbolically and decoratively...

Holiday Dresses

Everyone loves to wear black, gold, silver and red during the holidays, navy is even big right now, but I like to spice things up, and if I had extra few grand lying around I would splurge on this little Oscar de la Renta number...check it out and a number of other lovely cocktail dresses at http://www.net-a-porter.com
